The inspiration for the is work comes from walking through the gardens after a successful exhibition at the top of town in Melbourne. The sunlight shines through the leaves which have been crafted with heavy impasto paint and palette knife. This work has a hypnotic effect on the viewer to keep them engaged in the centre while allowing the eye to roam through the textured foliage. The intended effect of this work is to inspire hope while creating a cosy environment on your wall.
