Tree of light

Inspired from a view of light filtering through a tree on my way home from a successful exhibition. The moment was full of optimism and hope which I have sought to capture on canvas.

An inviting work which draws the viewer into the centre and allows them to bathe in the golden glow of sunlight filtered through leaves of a great tree. This piece has the effect of making the room feel smaller while expanding the viewers line of sight. The rays of light lead the gaze upward while the dark tree branches create a hypnotic effect to draw the viewer ever deeper into tranquility and hope for the future.
