Created during the lockdowns, this peaceful little place was an oasis for me to escape. The sunlit carpet of grass leads the viewer towards the looming mountains capped with clouds. One feels nestled in the safety of the trees around the boarder.
This work is created with thick impasto paints applied liberally with pallet knife while the centre has been gently completed using soft brushwork.
