Rialto Bridge at night - Venice 2025

$600.00

I made this work on the night before the Grand Doge Ball during carnival week in Venice. I wanted to create something unique from the Rialto bridge and found this beautiful quiet seat next to a gondola at night and enjoyed the passing parade of tourists and costumes as I drew the Rialto Bridge.

The Rialto Bridge is one of Venice’s most iconic landmarks, connecting the districts of San Marco and San Polo across the Grand Canal. Completed in 1591, it was designed by Antonio da Ponte and is the oldest of the four bridges spanning the canal. The bridge’s striking white stone arch and elegant design have made it a symbol of Venice’s architectural beauty. It features a central walkway lined with shops, making it a popular tourist destination. The Rialto Bridge has played a vital role in Venice’s commerce and remains a testament to the city’s rich history and craftsmanship.
