Lioness Venice Carnival
This work was created with the intention of capturing the last day of carnival as one of costumes of a woman as a lioness of Venice was hanging from the light ball in the darkness of the evening.
The Venice Carnival, dates back to the 12th century and is a world-famous celebration known for its elaborate masks and costumes. It historically allowed social class anonymity, fostering equality. The carnival traditionally marks the beginning of Lent, with grand balls, parades, and street performances, drawing tourists from across the globe.
This work was done on my last night in Venice and the evening of the grand Ball which is the high point of the pre-lent festivities.
